Glow renewed for fourth and final season
The last lot of ten episodes are expected to drop in August 2020.
1980s-set wrestling comedy Glow has been renewed for a fourth and final season by Netflix.
The announcement came on the show’s official Instagram page nearly a month after its third season debuted to excellent critical reviews.
It’ll once again consist of 10 episodes with Alison Brie, Betty Gilpin, Marc Maron, Chris Lowell and the rest of the main cast all set to return.
Creators Carly Mensch and Liz Flahive will once again serve as showrunners with Orange is the New Black's Jenji Kohan as executive producer.
After last season’s shift to Las Vegas, this fourth outing will see a return to L.A as producers Debbie (Gilpin) and Bash (Lowell) work to bring the all-female wrestling show back to TV.
Fans will also see a resolution to the slight cliffhanger which saw Ruth (Brie) turn down Debbie’s offer to be involved in the project as the series continues to explore their up-and-down friendship.
Gilpin was nominated for Best Supporting Actress in a Comedy for a second time at Sunday night’s Emmy awards but lost to Alex Borsetin for The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel.
Judging from previous release schedules, it’s likely that this final season of Glow will arrive on Netflix at the beginning of August 2020.
