Haunting of Hill House season 2 confirmed
Another haunting in another house will land in 2020.
Netflix has ordered a second season of The Haunting of Hill House.
Last year’s horror series, which was adapted from Shirley Jackson’s 1959 novel, was a smash-hit for Netflix, making a second season quite likely.
The series is set to join the likes of Black Mirror, True Detective, Inside No. 9 and American Horror Story as an anthology, meaning that season 2 will focus on new characters and a story.
Season 1 was rather self-contained and had a definitive ending, meaning that a follow-up would have been difficult.
Season 2 will be titled The Haunting of Bly Manor and will adapt the 1898 novel Turn of the Screw.
You guessed it. The HAUNTING OF BLY MANOR, a new chapter in the Haunting series based on the works of Henry James, is coming in 2020. pic.twitter.com/nvhRBEfH2E— The Haunting of Hill House (@haunting) February 21, 2019
This sees another family move into another remote, obviously haunted house, where ghost shenanigans happen.
Creator and director of the show, Mike Flanagan, has a multi-year contract with Netflix, meaning you can expect more “hauntings” to come.
The series is set to be released in 2020, where it will clash with the film version of Turn of the Screw, The Turning, which is also set to be released that year.
You can catch The Haunting of Hill House on Netflix now.
