Jennifer Lawrence joins Adam Mckay's new Netflix film
Don't Look Up will be available to stream sometime later this year.

Jennifer Lawrence is to star in Netflix’s upcoming comedy Don’t Look Up.
Directed by Vice’s Adam Mckay, the film will follow two scientists who discover that a meteor will strike earth in six months and set out to try and warn a very unconcerned public.
The streaming giant confirmed that they’d acquired the project on Monday after it had been shopped around to various other platforms.
“I’m so thrilled to make this movie with Jen Lawrence,” said McKay. “She’s what folks in the 17th century used to call a dynamite talent.”
“The fact that Netflix sees this movie as a worldwide comedy sets the bar high for me and my team in an exciting and motivating way.”
Principal photography is due to start in April for a release date of sometime later this year.
Along with Don't Look Up, McKay and Lawrence are set to team up for Bad Blood a biopic of former billionaire and Theranos founder Elizabeth Holmes which is due for release in 2021.
