Jerome Flynn joins Dark Tower TV series

The Bronn actor is headed to Stephen King's epic fantasy.

Actor Jerome Flynn has been added to the cast of Amazon’s Dark Tower series.

Flynn, who most will know from his turn as Bronn in Game of Thrones, will play an unknown character in the upcoming adaptation of Stephen King’s fantasy novels.

Very little is known about who he will play, other than he will be a “cowboy”, with Flynn saying in an interview that it’s a role he’s always wanted.

“I’ve always said I’d like to play a cowboy – and now one has come along. I’m excited for that.”

The Dark Tower is a series of 6 novels and other short stories by Stephen King and follows an interdimensional war between The Gunslinger and The Man in Black.

The Dark Tower was made into a film in 2017, starring Idris Elba and Matthew McConaughey, but was very poorly received which led to plans for a sequel being scrapped.

As well as being a prominent character in Game of Thrones, Flynn has also appeared in the Victorian crime series Ripper Street and is set to be in the upcoming John Wick 3: Parabellum

The Dark Tower is set to begin filming this month, so is likely to hit Amazon Prime Video before the end of the year.

You can catch up on Game of Thrones now via Sky Box Sets and NOW TV Entertainment.
