Kit Harington drops massive Jon Snow hint - (potential spoilers ahead)

Game of Thrones fans desperate to find out the definitive fate of Jon Snow may have been given a major clue by the actor himself, Kit Harington.

Vanity Fair has reported on a ‘recent' interview where Kit was quizzed about his future on the show.

After offering the standard rebuff of, “I can't talk about that”, he continued: “Let's just say that Game of Thrones will remain a part of my life for a while.

“I'll probably be in my thirties when it's over. One thing's for sure: the day I'm no longer on Thrones is the day I'll bury myself in movie projects.”

Intriguing stuff, although ‘recent' is a loose term.  He also continues to hang around in Belfast where they happen to be filming the show, but he may just like the scenery.

Last time we saw Jon Snow things looked pretty bleak; he was bleeding out on the ground, after getting a joint stabbing delivered by none other than his own ‘brothers' of the Night's Watch.

Anyone paying attention saw this as not only a shock twist, but also a baffling choice for the character.  His place as a key player until the end seemed certain, with rumours and clues abound regarding his heritage and potential influence on the story's outcome.

His death would leave a lot of unanswered questions, but it's also common knowledge that A Song of Ice and Fire author George R. R. Martin doesn't really care what anyone thinks, and nor do the series writers David Benioff and D.B. Weiss.  They'll do what they like, and they know everyone will accept it once they've got some cathartic foot-stamping out of the way.

As much as those involved have tried to stick with the “he's really dead” line since the last season ended, it does look increasingly likely that fans of the show haven't seen the end of Jon, but don't be surprised if they bring him back, then actually kill him in the next episode.

Game of Thrones is expected to return for season 6 in April 2016.
