Line of Duty series 5 film to shoot in September

The members of AC-12 will be back in action next month.

Line of Duty will start filming its 5th season next month, its creator has said.

Jed Mercurio, who created and writes the show, tweeted a behind-the-scenes picture of the cast getting ready to film the upcoming series.

Line of Duty is a crime series based around police corruption unit AC-12 and has been one of the BBC’s highest-rated shows for years.

The series has featured a new antagonist with each outing, with Lennie James, Thandie Newton, Keeley Hawes and Daniel Mays previously starring.

Whilst there is no official news as to who will star in season 5, rumours suggest that it could be Stephen Graham.

Graham has starred in films like This Is England and hit HBO series Boardwalk Empire and is known as one of the UK’s best actors.

Production on series 5 of Line of Duty started in February of this year, with Mercurio announcing that he was beginning to write scripts for the series.

As of yet, a release date for series 5 has yet to be announced, though it is likely to be early 2019.

You can watch the first 3 series of Line of Duty on Netflix right now.
