Money Heist creators debut trailer for new Netflix series
You can stream all eight episodes of Sky Rojo from 19th March.
Netflix has released the first trailer for Money Heist creators Alex Pina and Esther Martínez Lobato’s new original series Sky Rojo.
The crime-drama follows three sex workers (Verónica Sanchez, Lali Espósito, and Yany Prado) as they attempt to escape from their violent pimp (Asier Etxeandia).
The clip, scored by a rock cover of Spanish singer Rosalía’s global hit Con Altura, teases what Pina and Lobato have described as a “Latin pulp” story with plenty of drug-fuelled action, gun fights and car chases.
It’s been confirmed that Sky Rojo will consist of eight twenty five minute episodes which will arrive on the platform on 19th March. A second season is also already in production.
Money Heist, or La Casa De Papel, sees a mysterious group of thieves all clad in red jumpsuits with Salvador Dalí masks breaking into the Royal Mint of Spain to steal millions of euros.
It enjoyed a fair amount of success when it originally aired on Spanish TV in 2017 before exploding in global popularity when it hit on Netflix, becoming one of the streamer’s most-watched non English language series.
A fifth season of Money Heist is currently in production and is expected to air its first half sometime later this year.
You can stream all four parts of Money Heist on Netflix now.
