Netflix announces release date for After Life season 3

All six episodes will be available to stream from 14th January 2022.

The third and final season of Netflix’s After Life now has a release date.

A tweet from the streaming giant’s official account for the UK and Ireland confirms that it’ll be available to stream in its entirety from 14th January 2022.

It will once again consist of six 30 minute episodes which were all written and directed by its star Ricky Gervais.

This third season will follow his grief-stricken journalist Tony as he attempts to deal with another major loss while exploring what it means to move on with your life.

Fellow cast members Ashley Jensen, Tom Basden, Roisin Conaty, Tony Way, Diane Morgan, Mandeep Dhillon, Penelope Wilton and Paul Kayke are all set to return.

It's the last outing for After Life but it’s not the end of Gervais’ involvement with Netflix.

In a recent interview with Sirius XM Radio, he said that he’s got three other projects in the pipeline at the platform which they greenlit after he told them he wanted to end After Life

Describing them as “completely different”, one is reportedly a sitcom that’s “more sitcommy than anything he’s even written.”

You can stream both seasons of After Life on Netflix now.
