Netflix confirms release date for Rick and Morty season 4b

Stream new episodes from 4th December.

Rick and Morty fans won’t have to wait long to enjoy new episodes on Netflix.

The streaming giant’s official Twitter account for the UK and Ireland has confirmed that season 4b will drop on 4th December.

It’s set to consist of five episodes and while nothings been confirmed, the wording of the Tweet seems to suggest all of them will be available to stream at once.

These episodes have actually already aired in the UK after Channel 4 signed an exclusive deal to broadcast new Rick and Morty just a few days after it aired in the US.

Those who only stream the show on Netflix however have been left waiting.

Rick and Morty was created by Justin Roiland and Dan Harmon, who’s also responsible for quirky sitcom Community

It follows the misadventures of mad scientist Rick and his grandson Morty (both voiced by Roiland) as they travel through different dimensions.

There’s currently no information on when season 5 will be released, but speaking virtually at PaleyFest NY Harmon said that its development hasn’t been affected by COVID-19.

"We're more on schedule than we've ever been," he said to SyFy Wire. "It kind of makes you have to focus on the whole process when you don't have this office environment anymore.

You can stream seasons 1 to 4a of Rick and Morty on Netflix now.
