Netflix could revive Channel 4's The Circle

A fourth season of the show may be happening after all.

The recently cancelled Channel 4 reality show The Circle could be coming to Netflix.

The streaming giant is currently holding discussions with Studio Lambert, the production company behind the show, about a potential revival.

“The second season of The Circle US is doing very well on Netflix and we are in talks with Netflix about the future of the show in both America and in the UK,” they confirmed.

A variety of reality shows can already be found on Netflix including multiple seasons of Below Deck and Keeping Up with the Kardashians alongside its wildly popular original offerings like Selling Sunset, Too Hot to Handle and Love is Blind

Channel 4 announced that The Circle would not be returning for a fourth season last week stating that they have a “responsibility to continually look at how we reinvent and create space for new ideas.”

First launched in 2018, the show revolves around a group of players living in an apartment block who can only communicate through a messaging app known as The Circle.

They can choose to either be themselves or pretend to be someone else and every week they all rate each other. Whoever comes last is then evicted from the show.

Its first season was hosted by Radio 1’s Maya Jama and Alice Levine before presenter Emma Willis took over for the remaining two.

Several international series of the show have also been made with both seasons of the US version available to stream on Netflix now.
