Netflix releases first trailer for Fear Street film trilogy
The three parts will be available to stream from 2nd, 9th and 16th July.

Netflix has debuted the first trailer for its planned horror film trilogy Fear Street.
The clip was released as part of the streaming giant’s first Geeked Week, a virtual free fan event which is currently taking place across major platforms like Facebook, YouTube, Twitter and Twitch.
Based on R.L Stine’s popular book series of the same name, the first film Fear Street Part One: 1994 follows a group of teenagers who discover that they may be the next victims of a centuries old curse which haunts their small town of Shadyside.
The second and third, titled Fear Street Part Two: 1978 and Fear Street Part Three: 1666, will explore some of the gruesome murders that the curse is responsible for as well as its origins amongst the local Fier family.
Although Stine’s books were aimed at children, judging by the trailer it seems as though Netflix has opted to take the Fear Street trilogy in a significantly scarier direction.
Community’s Gillian Jacobs, Sadie Sink, Maya Hawke, Ashley Zuckerman and Kiana Madeira are amongst those set to star.
All three entries were directed by Leigh Janiak, who previously helmed the 2014 indie horror Honeymoon and a couple of episodes of MTV’s Scream TV series.
Fear Street Part One: 1994 will be available to stream on Netflix from Friday 2nd July. Fear Street: 1978 and Fear Street: 1666 will follow on 9th and 16th July respectively.
