Netflix reveals first look images for The Haunting of Bly Manor
It's likely that the series will arrive on Netflix around Halloween.
Netflix has released some first-look images from its upcoming horror series The Haunting of Bly Manor.
This will be the second instalment in The Haunting of Hill House anthology series and is loosely based on Henry James’s 1898 novel The Turn of the Screw.
Its creator Mike Flanagan has also said that he added elements from two of James’s other stories, The Jolly Corner and The Romance of Certain Old Clothes.
Now set in 1987, it follows American tutor Dani (Victoria Pedretti, who starred as troubled Nell Crain in Hill House) who journeys to the titular English manor to teach orphans Miles (Benjamin Evan Ainsworth) and Flora (Amelia Bea Smith).
As her time at the creepy, crumbling house continues, it slowly becomes apparent that the children could be possessed by sinister ghosts.
Joining Pedretti are fellow Hill House alums Henry Thomas as the children’s uncle Henry Wingrave and Oliver-Cohan Jackson as his shady associate Peter Quint. Kate Siegel will also feature in an unknown role.
Newcomers Rahul Kohli, Amelia Eve and T’Nia Miller round out the rest of the cast.
The streaming giant also announced that The Haunting of Bly Manor will premiere sometime this Autumn.
You can stream the entirety of The Haunting of Hill House on Netflix now.
