Netflix reveals release date for Ozark season 3
All ten episodes will drop on 27th March.
The third season of crime-drama Ozark will arrive on 27th March, Netflix has confirmed.
The streaming giant announced the news via their official See What’s Next Twitter account posting an announcement video.
It'll pick up 6 months after the events of season 2 as the riverboat casino Marty (Jason Bateman) and Wendy (Laura Linney) opened to launder cartel money is up and running.
Netflix’s plot synopsis for these 10 new episodes hints at plenty of dark drama to come as the Byrdes “fight for control of the family’s destiny.”
“Aided by an alliance with Helen (Janet McTeer) and drug cartel leader Omar Navarro (Felix Solis), Wendy plots for expansion. But when her brother Ben (Tom Pelphrey) comes into town, everyone’s lives are thrown into chaos."
Julia Garner, Sofia Hublitz, Skylar Gaertner and Charlie Tahan are all set to return with Jessica Frances Duke, Joseph Sikora and Madison Thompson joining the cast as new regulars for season 3.
Created by screenwriter Bill Dubuque and Mark Williams, Ozark premiered in 2017 to excellent reviews from critics and favourable comparisons to Breaking Bad.
The second season earned similar acclaim and the show’s first Emmy wins, supporting actress in a drama series for Garner and best directing for a drama series for Bateman.
