Netflix shares first look photos for The Crown season 4
Fans were treated to their first glimpse of Gillian Anderson as Margaret Thatcher.
Netflix has released new teaser images for the upcoming fourth season of The Crown.
The show’s official Twitter account has posted four images, two of which give a first look at Gillian Anderson as controversial Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher and newcomer Emma Corin as Princess Diana.
There’s also a shot of Queen Elizabeth II (Olivia Colman) with husband Prince Philip (Tobias Menzies) in a theatre box looking typically stoic and Princess Margaret (Helena Bonham Carter) abroad somewhere.
Season four of the acclaimed royal drama is set to span from the late 1970s up to around 1990 and will focus on major events like the Falklands War and the wedding of Prince Charles (Josh O’Connor) to Princess Diana.
Also included in the returning cast are Erin Doherty as Princess Anne, Ben Daniels as Princess Margaret’s husband the Earl of Snowden, Emerald Fennell as Camilla Parker-Bowles and Marion Bailey as the Queen Mother.
Emmy award-winner Claire Foy who played Queen Elizabeth II in the first two seasons will also appear in a flashback.
A short trailer released back in August revealed that all ten episodes of The Crown season 4 will be available to stream from 15th November.
You can stream the first three seasons of The Crown on Netflix now.
