Netflix's Master of None season 3 to premiere in May
The show aired its first two seasons in 2015 and 2017 respectively.
Master of None is to return for a third season this May, Netflix has confirmed.
The streaming giant didn’t give a specific release date, but the show was included in it’s list of upcoming releases for May which was tweeted by its official Queue account.
Created by Alan Yang and comedian/actor Aziz Ansari, the acclaimed comedy-drama follows the life of 30-year-old New York-based actor Dev (Ansari).
It’s been on an extended hiatus since 2017 after its acclaimed second season aired with Ansari telling Vulture “I don't know if we're going to do a season three. I wouldn't be surprised if I needed a looonng break before I could come back to it.”
“I've got to become a different guy before I write a third season, is my personal thought. I've got to get married or have a kid or something. I don't have anything else to say about being a young guy being single in New York eating food around town all the time."
This upcoming season will be titled Master of None Presents: Moments in Love and consist of five episodes all of which were directed by Ansari.
Nothing has been confirmed, but it’s rumoured that the focus will shift from his Dev to the character’s close friend Denise (Lena Waithe).
