Netflix’s Mindhunter gets final trailer
Take a final sneak peek at Netflix's lastest crime thriller.
The final trailer for Netflix's upcoming Mindhunter series has been released.
The series, which is partially directed by renowned film director David Fincher, tells the true story of 2 FBI agents in the ‘70s who set out to investigate why killers commit their crimes - something that was very controversial at the time.
The show is produced by Netflix as part of their autumn lineup, which includes other big hitters such as Marvel's The Punisher and season 2 of ‘80s-style horror series Stranger Things.
Mindhunter is based on the book by FBI profiler John E. Douglas, who pioneered techniques into criminal psychology and was the basis for the character Jack Crawford in the Hannibal Lecter novels by Thomas Harris.
The Hannibal TV series and Criminal Minds also used Douglas as inspiration for a number of its characters.
The trailer sees agent Holden Ford (based on Douglas) and his partner Bill Tench attempt to change crime investigation, even going so far as to invent the term ‘serial killer'.
The duo will come against fierce pushback in during the series, with their colleagues having no interest in understanding killers.
From what we can see, the Fincher look is in full effect here, with muted colours and slow, menacing tracking shots aplenty.
Mindhunter season 1 will be available on Netflix from October 13th.
