New teaser for Sex Education season 3

You can stream all eight episodes from 17th September 2021.

Netflix has released a new teaser trailer for the upcoming third season of its acclaimed comedy Sex Education.

The short clip sees the majority of the main cast, including Otis (Asa Butterfield), Maeve (Emma Mackey) and Jackson (Kedar Williams-Stirling), unenthusiastically taking part in a spoof advert for Moordale High.

It also serves to introduce one of this season’s new characters, headteacher Mrs Hope (Girls Jemima Kirke) who is determined to “get the school back on track.”

Fans have been eagerly awaiting a new season of the show as it’s second outing debuted well over a year ago in January 2020.

“It’s a new year, Otis is having casual sex, Eric (Ncuti Gatwa) and Adam (Connor Swindells) are official, and Jean (Gillian Anderson) has a baby on the way,” reads its official plot synopsis.

“Meanwhile, new headteacher Hope tries to return Moordale to a pillar of excellence, Aimee (Aimee Lou Wood) discovers feminism, Jackson gets a crush and a lost voicemail still looms."

"Prepare for commitment animals, alien phenomena, vulva cupcakes, and much more of Madam Groff.”

Although not glimpsed in this trailer, also set to join the cast for season 3 is Jason Isaacs as Peter Groff the “more successful and less modest older brother” of the former headteacher, musician Dua Saleh as new non-binary student Cal and Indra Ové as Elsie’s foster mum Anna.

Created and written by Laurie Nunn, these eight new episodes will be directed by Ben Taylor and Runyararo Mapfumo.

Joining Nunn on the writing team is Sophie Goodhart, Selina Lim, Mawaan Rizwan, Temi Wilkey, and Alice Seabright.

You can stream both seasons of Sex Education on Netflix now.
