New trailer for DC’s Swamp Thing released
Swamp Thing is headed to a screen near you.
A new trailer for the upcoming Swamp Thing series has been released.
The series, which is set to air on DC’s streaming service, is based on the comic character and will run for 10 episodes.
The show is going ahead despite DC reportedly shutting down production, meaning it won’t run for the planned 13 episodes.
Whilst it’s unknown whether this means that a second season is off the cards, if the show is popular enough it’s likely that it will be renewed.
This is the latest live-action outing for the character, with the most famous previous adaptation being the 1982 Wes Craven movie.
The trailer suggests that the series will be horror-focused, with Swamp Thing getting up to some scary shenanigans.
The series will go to DC Universe in the US, with no word as yet where it will land in the UK.
The previous DC original series, Titans, was marketed as a Netflix Original in the UK, meaning it might end up there at some point.
