New Treehouse of Horror episode delayed
This episode will parody Toy Story, the US Election, Russian Doll and Spiderman: Into the Spiderverse.

The Simpsons annual Treehouse of Horror special has been delayed until November 1st.
The show’s official Twitter account announced the news yesterday and later confirmed in a conversation with a fan that the pushback was due to a NLCS (National League Championship Series) baseball game.

This will be the long-running sitcom’s 31st Treehouse of Horror special (styled as Treehouse of Horror XXXI).
One of its four segments will explore the real life terror of the upcoming US election while others will parody the beloved animated film Toy Story, Spiderman: Into the Spiderverse and acclaimed Netflix series Russian Doll.
These horror-themed Treehouse of Horror episodes first began airing in 1990 when the long-running animated series was only in its second season.
So far, its parodied a huge number of films, TV series and books including The Twilight Zone, Nightmare on Elm Street, The Shining, I Know What You Did Last Summer, Dracula, The Fly and The Island of Dr Moreau.
