Normal People to return for new episodes
Two special flash-forward episodes have been created for Irish channel RTÉ’s comic relief evening.

The acclaimed BBC/Hulu drama Normal People is to return for two special episodes set forty years in the future.
Directed by Lenny Abrahamson, who helmed six of the original episodes alongside Hettie Macdonald, both will air tonight as part of Irish broadcaster RTÉ’s comic relief block.
Stars Paul Mescal and Daisy Edgar-Jones are of course set to return but not much else is known about the project.
“I promise you, these are two very special bits. It’s so much better than anything we’ve ever made,” said Richard Curtis, the co-founder of comic relief RTÉ.
“I mean, I can’t even say all about it, because there’s a guest star in it. But it’s really, really beautiful.”
Adapted from the bestselling novel by Irish author Sally Rooney, Normal People follows the complex relationship between teenagers Marianne (Edgar-Jones) and Connell (Mescal) across several years.
All 12 episodes premiered on BBC iPlayer on 26th April to near universal acclaim from viewers and critics alike.
It’s not yet clear when these two episodes will be available to stream in the rest of the UK.
