Peaky Blinders series 4 wraps up filming

The Blinders will be back on screens very soon.

The 4th series of Peaky Blinders has finished filming, the show's producers have confirmed.

The show confirmed that filming for the new series had wrapped via its official Twitter account.

Peaky Blinders is a drama based around gangsters in post-WW1 Birmingham and stars Cillian Murphy as Tommy Shelby, leader of the Peaky Blinders gang.

The series has achieved critical acclaim, with viewers praising its authentic setting, exciting characters and gritty violence.

Peaky Blinders is a co-production between the BBC and US production company The Weinstein Company, which allows it to have a larger budget than most BBC programmes.

The full cast is expected to return to the show in series 4, including Helen McCrory, Paul Anderson, Sophie Rundle, Joe Cole and Tom Hardy.

Earlier series saw Sam Neil and Paddy Constantine taking up roles, with Adrien Brody and Game of Thrones' Aiden Gillen being added to the series 4 cast.

Peaky Blinders series 4 does not yet have a release date, but it is expected to air later this year on BBC Two.

You can watch the first 2 seasons of Peaky Blinders now on Netflix.
