Peaky Blinders star teases release date for season 6
An Instagram post from Paul Anderson, who plays Arthur Shelby, suggests it'll hit our screens sometime in February.
Peaky Blinders star Paul Anderson has hinted at a release date for its upcoming sixth season on Instagram.
The actor recently posted an old photo of him and co-star Cillian Murphy with the caption “This is the first ever image of Tommy and Arthur.”
“We picked these guns up for the first time 10 years ago, and next month we put them down for the last time!”
“Coming soon... PEAKY BLINDERS SEASON 6... thank you to our amazing fans for waiting and for the incredible love over the last decade.”
The sixth season of Peaky Blinders will be the last outing for the acclaimed gangster drama and will take place all throughout World War 2 and beyond.
The trailer hints at further clashes with real-life fascist leader Oswald Mosley (Sam Claflin) and it’s expected that we’ll discover who betrayed Tommy at the end of season 5.
Alongside Anderson and Murphy, main cast members Sophie Rundle, Finn Cole, Tom Hardy, Natasha O’ Keeffe, Anya Taylor-Joy, Harry Kirton, Kate Philips and Emmett J. Scanlan are all set to return.
The biggest new addition to the cast for season 6 is Stephen Graham but it’s not yet been revealed which character he’ll be playing.
It’s expected that season 6 will once again consist of 6 hour-long episodes all of which will be written by creator Stephen Knight and directed by Anthony Byrne.
