Red Dwarf to return for feature-length episode
It's expected to hit UK screens sometime in 2020.

Beloved sci-fi sitcom Red Dwarf is to return for a new two-hour special.
This 90 minute feature-length episode will air on Dave sometime next year and, like its original run, be filmed in front of a live studio audience.
It’ll be written and directed by series co-creator Doug Naylor with original stars Craig Charles, Chris Barrie, Danny-John Jules and Robert Llewellyn all set to return.
"I’m absolutely thrilled to have the opportunity of making more Red Dwarf. UKTV has been a never-ending source of support and encouragement since we first started working together ten years ago,” said Naylor in a statement.
“I can’t wait to start shooting a format that I don’t think has ever been done before.”
Dave has also commissioned three 60-minute retrospectives which will "offer fans the definitive story of the show" and feature rare, un-broadcast material and new in-depth interviews with its cast and crew.
Red Dwarf first hit UK screens in 1988 and ran for eight seasons obtaining a cult following, critical acclaim and even an Emmy award.
It was picked up for a new miniseries in 2009 with three full series following in 2012, 2016 and 2017 respectively.
