Release date announced for Top Boy season 3

Ten new episodes will arrive on 13th September.

Netflix has revealed the release date for the upcoming third season of Top Boy.

Ten brand-new episodes of the gritty British crime-drama will drop simultaneously on 13th September.

The series will pick up as Dushane (Ashley Walters) and Sully (Kano) return to the Summerhouse estate to reclaim their lucrative drug empire from ruthless gang leader Jamie (Micheal Ward).

Also set to return are Ashley Thomas as Jermaine and Shone Romulus as Out with newcomers including UK rappers Dave and Little Simz.

Yann Demange and Jonathan Van Tulleken once again jointly directed all ten episodes with Ronan Bennet back to write the script.

Top Boy originally ran for two critically-acclaimed seasons in 2011 and 2013 before being cancelled by Channel 4.

Netflix announced in November 2017 they’d be reviving the series after rapper Drake expressed his love for the show and bought the rights.

You can stream the first two seasons of Top Boy on Netflix now.
