Release date for Inside No.9 season 6 revealed
BBC2 will broadcast the first episode on Monday 10th May at 9:30pm.
The BBC has announced the release date for the upcoming sixth season of Inside No.9.
Steve Pemberton and Reece Shearsmith’s darkly comic anthology will return on Monday 10th May at 9:30pm on BBC2.
This season will once again consist of six episodes with the first, titled Wuthering Heist, set to star Game of Thrones’s Gemma Whelan, comic Kevin Bishop and Paterson Joseph.
It will follow the thief Panatalone “who has an audacious plan to steal a consignment of diamonds worth a tasty twelve million. But he’s hired a complete bunch of double-crossing clowns to do it.”
A typically surreal trailer released last week gave fans a look at its other guest stars which includes Fleabag’s Sian Clifford, Lindsay Duncan, Nick Mohammed, Line of Duty’s Adrian Dunbar, Bhavna Limbachia and Sarah Parish.
Sir Derek Jacobi will be the first actor to make a return appearance in the show, following his turn as the voice of Dennis Fulcher in the season 3 episode The Devil of Christmas.
"We started filming in March last year but had to hit pause due to the pandemic. After a nine-month gestation it's a relief to finally deliver our sixth series to the world,” Pemberton and Shearsmith said in a statement to the broadcaster.
"As proud parents we couldn't possibly choose a favourite, but like any youngest sibling this series is cheeky, funny – and can get away with murder."
You can stream all five seasons of Inside No.9 on BBC iPlayer.
