Release date revealed for Dead to Me season 2

New episodes will hit Netflix on 8th May.

The release date for the upcoming second season of Netflix’s Dead to Me has been revealed.

The show’s official Twitter account confirmed that ten new episodes of the dark comedy drama will drop on 8th May 2020.

Its first season followed the developing friendship between the recently widowed Jen (Christina Applegate) and Judy (Linda Cardenelli) after they meet at a grief support group.

A short announcement trailer accompanied the post which recapped last season’s shocking cliffhanger and briefly teased what was to come.

Creator Liz Feldman will once again serve as showrunner on this second season with Will Ferrell and The Big Short’s Adam McKay as executive producers.

Speaking about its plot during an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Feldman said:

“It will be about the further exploration of this friendship, and relationship, and now very complicated dynamic, or even more complicated dynamic, between these two women.”

“What I wanted to do was create a situation where they’re forced together, and they need each other now in some ways more than they did at the beginning of season one.”

You can stream the entire first season of Dead to Me on Netflix now.
