Ryan Reynolds shares first look at new Netflix film
The actor also starred in the streaming giant's original film 6 Underground.
Ryan Reynolds has given fans a first look at his upcoming Netflix film The Adam Project.
The Deadpool star posted two images to his Twitter account featuring him, newcomer Walker Scobell and director Shawn Levy.
The Adam Project sees Reynolds’ character travel back in time to meet his 13-year-old self (Scobell) so they can save his physicist father (Mark Ruffalo) to set things right in the future.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, Catherine Keener will play the villain of the film who has stolen important technology from Ruffalo’s character.
Zoe Saldana and Jennifer Garner have also been cast in undisclosed roles. The script was written by Jonathan Tropper and based off of an earlier version by Mark Levin, Jennifer Flackett, and T.S. Nowlin.
The Adam Project will be the second collaboration between Levy and Reynolds after Free Guy, an upcoming action comedy which sees the latter play a bank teller who discovers he’s an NPC in a Grand Theft Auto-like video game.
Free Guy, which also stars Killing Eve’s Jodie Comer, Joe Keery and Taika Waititi, was originally set for release in July 2020 but has now been delayed indefinitely due to COVID-19.
A release date for The Adam Project is not yet known.
