Sandra Bullock to star in new Netflix film
The actress will play the lead in the streaming giant's adaptation of the 2009 ITV series Unforgiven.

Sandra Bullock is returning to Netflix to star in their new film Unforgiven.
The Academy-Award winning actress will play a troubled woman who sets out to find her estranged sister after serving a 15-year prison sentence.
It’ll serve as a feature-length adaptation of the ITV series of the same name which aired back in 2009 with Doctor Foster’s Suranne Jones in the lead role.
Christopher McQuarrie, who previously helmed the fifth and sixth entries in the Mission Impossible franchise, will write this new film version with German filmmaker Nora Fingsheidt set to direct.
The original three-part series was written by Sally Wainwright who went onto create the BAFTA award-winning crime drama Happy Valley and Last Tango in Halifax.
The news comes two years after Bullock starred in Netflix’s smash-hit film Bird Box as a mum trying to protect her two children from a mysterious supernatural force.
45 million Netflix accounts streamed the horror thriller in the first seven days after its release making it the platform’s biggest hit until the release of Adam Sandler's Murder Mystery earlier this year.
You can stream Bird Box on Netflix now.
