Sky Q launches Split-Screen Sports

Sky has announced a brand new split-screen feature for its Sky Q box.

This feature will allow viewers to watch Sky Sports in a split-screen mode, essentially giving the option to watch two different channels at once.

Viewers will have the option of watching two live channels at once as well as checking out highlights from the coverage they are watching without having to miss the live action.

For example, Sky Q box owners will be able to check out a goal they might have missed from a game without needing to rewind the current feed.

Formula One coverage can also be improved with the use of Split-Screen, with viewers able to pick between multiple camera angles whilst also seeing the race live.

Users will also be able to use the Sky Sports HQ app as part of the feature, which was already use as a form of second screen experience before this addition.

Sky's brand Director of TV and Content Products, Luke Bradley-Jones, said that Split-Screen was another way that the Sky Q box improved over the previous box.

“We know our customers absolutely love watching live sports and the new Sky Q features will give them the flexibility to choose how they watch.”

“Whether it's a Premier League match or Formula 1 race, customers can simply choose split screen viewing and watch the most talked about goal again and again, or two live races side by side.”

New Sky customers who sign up to a Sky TV package will automatically be eligible for a Sky Q box, allowing them to enjoy features such as Split-Screen, 1TB of recordings and the ability to use Sky Multiscreen.
