Succession adds three new cast members for season 3
Nothing's been confirmed by HBO, but it's hoped that this third season will hit our screens sometime later this year.
Three new cast members will be joining acclaimed black comedy Succession for its upcoming third season, HBO has announced.
Sanaa Lathan, who played principal Janelle Wilson in seasons four and five of The Affair, has been cast as Lisa Arthur, a high-profile, well-connected New York lawyer.
Lodge 49’s Linda Emond will play Michelle-Anne Vanderhoven, a senior White House aide while South Korean singer Jihae, who also appeared in Netflix’s cyberpunk series Altered Carbon, will play Berry Schneider, a leading public relations consultant.
Succession follows aging media tycoon Logan Roy (Brian Cox) and his four adult children, Kendall (Jeremy Strong), Roman (Kieran Culkin), Shiv (Sarah Snook) and Connor (Alan Ruck), as they battle for control of his company WayStar Royco.
Matthew Macfadyen, Nicholas Braun, Hiam Abass, J.Smith-Cameron, Peter Friedman and Rob Yang also star.
A release date for Succession season 3 is not yet known but its plot synopsis reads as follows:
“Ambushed by his rebellious son Kendall (Strong) at the end of Season 2, Logan (Cox) begins Season 3 in a perilous position. Scrambling to secure familial, political, and financial alliances, tensions rise as a bitter corporate battle threatens to turn into a family civil war.”
Seasons one and two of Succession are available to stream on NOW TV.
