Succession renewed for season 3 at HBO
Jesse Armstrong's razor sharp satire will return for ten more episodes in 2020.
HBO has renewed its dark satirical drama Succession for a third season.
The US cable network made the announcement yesterday following the high-viewership figures and critical acclaim it's ongoing second season has elicited.
This upcoming third outing will once again consist of ten episodes and premiere in 2020.
Created by Peep Show writer Jesse Armstrong, Succession follows the ultra-privileged but highly dysfunctional Roy family as they battle for control of their ailing father’s media company.
Brian Cox stars as its ruthless head Logan Roy with Alan Ruck, Jeremy Strong, Kieren Culkin and Sarah Snook as his four troubled adult children.
Armstrong also serves as showrunner and executive producer alongside The Big Short director Adam McKay and Will Ferrell.
Succession was recently nominated for five Emmy awards including Outstanding Drama Series and Outstanding Writing in a Drama Series.
