Supernatural to end after season 15

The supernaturally long series will finally end in 2020.

Supernatural is set to end after its 15th season at the CW.

The long-running fantasy drama series will finally finish alongside fellow CW show Arrow in the 2019-2020 broadcast season.

Supernatural stars Jared Padalecki, Jensen Ackles and Misha Collins, who all announced the ending via Twitter.

The series revolves around two brothers who hunt ghosts, demons and other supernatural beings.

Executive producers Robert Singer and Andrew Dabb said in a joint statement that they wanted to send the show off with a bang.

“Firstly, we would like to thank all the people who have been involved with the show both in front of and behind the camera. For us it has been an experience of a lifetime. The support we have had from both Warner Bros Television and The CW has been incredible.

“We'd like to give special thanks to Jensen, Jared and Misha for making this journey so special. It is now most important to us to give these characters that we love the sendoff they deserve.”

Supernatural is the longest-running sci-fi series in the history of American TV, and has been consistently popular ever since it started on the now defunct WB Network.

You can stream the first 13 seasons of Supernatural now via Amazon Prime Video.
