The Marvelous Mrs Maisel renewed for season 4

The recently released third season has been nominated for two Golden Globes.

Amazon has renewed its award-winning comedy The Marvelous Mrs Maisel for season 4.

The announcement comes just days after the 3rd eight episode season dropped to mostly positive reviews from critics.

Production on this new series will begin in spring 2020 but an episode count and official release date have yet to be determined.

“We were thrilled to hear that for the fourth time, we do not have to pack up and vacate the premises,” said creator Amy Sherman-Palladino in a statement.

“We’d like to thank Amazon for all their faith and support, their partnership and enthusiasm, and for letting us hang with our favorite people, the cast and crew of Maisel, for a little longer.”

Set in the early 1960s, the show follows bored housewife Midge Maisel (Rachel Brosnahan) as she embarks on a career in stand-up comedy.

Alex Borstein, Luke Kirby, Jane Lynch, Michael Zegen and Tony Shalhoub also star.

The past two seasons were met with widespread critical acclaim winning numerous Emmy’s and a Golden Globe.

You can stream all three seasons of the The Marvelous Mrs Maisel on Amazon now.
