Twin Peaks co-creator hasn’t seen new episodes

Twin Peaks gets even more mysterious.

The co-creator of Twin Peaks has opened up about the secrecy and rules surrounding the new series.

Mark Frost, who worked with David Lynch on both the original and new series of Twin Peaks, admitted in an interview with Esquire that he hadn't yet seen the finished version of the new series, which is due to air in May this year.

He added that David Lynch kept the series under incredible secrecy, meaning that very few people would see the final version until it is aired on TV.

Measures taken included only giving cast members their parts of the scripts rather than the full thing, and only allowing them to be on set during their scenes.

Speaking in the same interview, Lynch said that it wasn't necessary for everyone to have the same script when filming the show.

"There isn't really a need to have everybody read the whole script. So they get their scenes. And when we work together, they ask many questions, and they get answers. People get what they need."

New photos of the cast have been released, showing a few returning faces along with Agent Cooper, such as Audrey (Sherilyn Fenn), Shelly (Madchen Amick) and Laura Palmer (Sheryl Lee).

The two-hour premiere of the new Twin Peaks will be simulcast on Sky Atlantic at 2am on the 22nd of May, with it airing again at 9pm and available to stream on NOW TV. The first 2 seasons are available to watch on Sky Box Sets and NOW TV right now.
