X-Men star joins Disney+'s WandaVision series
It's not clear whether Evan Peters will be reprising his role as the superhero Quicksilver.

X-Men’s Evan Peters has reportedly been cast in the upcoming Marvel series WandaVision.
It’s thought that he joined the cast late last year but exactly who he’ll be playing and the extent of his role are currently unknown.
Set within the MCU and after the events of Avengers: Endgame, WandaVision follows Scarlet Witch/Wanda Maximoff (Elizabeth Olsen) and Vision (Paul Bettany) as they start a new life.
It’s not clear how the show will resurrect Vision, who died in the aforementioned blockbuster, but last year’s Superbowl trailer suggests that it will take place mostly within a 1950s sitcom-like fantasy world inside her head.
Kat Dennings, Randall Park, Teyonah Parris, and Kathryn Hahn round out the cast.
Peters’ casting has caused fans to start theorising about WandaVision being how the X-Men potentially enter the MCU due to his character Quicksilver being the Scarlet Witch’s twin brother in the comics.
The MCU did have their own Quicksilver, played by Aaron Taylor Johnson, but he was killed off in 2015’s Age of Ultron protecting Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner).
Production on WandaVision was suspended due to the ongoing coronavirus epidemic but it’s Disney’s hope that it’ll still make its Autumn 2020 release date.
