You season 3 resumes filming

New episodes are likely to premiere toward the end of 2021.

Filming is now back underway on the third season of hit thriller You, Netflix has confirmed.

The streaming giant announced the news via tweet which was accompanied by a photo of star Penn Badgley in a HELLO YOU mask.

While nothing has been confirmed, Screenrant estimates that production could wrap sometime around April 2021 providing there’s no more delays.

This could then result in new episodes arriving on Netflix toward the end of next year.

Loosely based on the novel of the same name by Caroline Kepnes, You follows Joe (Badgley) a seemingly normal bookstore manager who is actually a sociopathic serial killer.

Season two saw him move to L.A and develop a dangerous, toxic obsession with aspiring chef Love Quinn (Haunting of Hill House’s Victoria Pedretti).

Set to join the cast for this upcoming third season is Scott Speedman, Santa Clarita Diet’s Shalita Grant and Travis Van Winkle.

You originally premiered on US network Showtime in 2018 to limited fanfare. It was picked up by Netflix just a few months later and went on to gain significant popularity worldwide.

Both seasons of You are available to stream on Netflix now.
