The untitled projects will be shot back-to-back and once again written and directed by Central Intelligence’s Rawson Marshall Thurber.
Stars Dwayne Johnson, Ryan Reynolds and Gal Gadot are all set to return and production currently has a tentative start date of 2023, but this dependent on their schedules.
Major plot details are quite scant but according to Deadline streaming giant is planning to add a couple of new characters and develop Ocean’s Elevens-like heist ensemble films.
Red Notice premiered on Netflix on 5th November 2021 and follows criminal FBI profiler John Hartley (Johnson) who’s forced to team up with art thief Nolan Booth (Ryan Reynolds) to take down a mysterious criminal (Gal Gadot).
While it wasn’t a huge hit with critics, sitting at a lowly 36% on Rotten Tomatoes, Red Notice currently holds the record for being Netflix’s most-watched film having clocked up 328 million viewing hours.
