How to watch 2024/25 EFL play-offs
The 2024/25 EFL season has been a historic campaign in broadcasting terms as for the first time in history, every single game from the Championship, League One and League Two has been shown live throughout the season.
This has been thanks to Sky Sports, who has been the primary broadcaster of the EFL for some time but expanded their coverage this year so that fans can watch even more action, thanks to their newest channel Sky Sports+, which launched last August.
EFL on Sky Sports

Sky Sports+ was added to the Sky Sports roster shortly before the start of the 2024/25 EFL campaign and promised to bring more football than ever, with over 1000 matches shown live during the season.
The EFL on Sky Sports+ has been brilliant for fans of clubs in the lower divisions, giving them the opportunity to watch their beloved side when they can’t make it to the games.
But best of all, Sky Sports+ is available at no extra cost - it was added as part of the Sky Sports range and not as an optional add-on, meaning anyone with a Sky Sports package has immediate access to Sky Sports+.
That access gains you the channel on Sky TV plus streams on the Sky Sports app. The app underwent a redesign last summer to accommodate the Sky Sports+ streams, essentially becoming the EFL hub by hosting all games within the streaming service.
2024/25 EFL Play-Offs: Championship

Leeds and Burnley have already reclaimed their spots in the Premier League, both posting 100 points on their way to automatic promotion.
Joining them will either be Sheffield United or Sunderland, both who had different paths to making their way to Wembley.
Sheffield faced a plucky Bristol City side and dispatched of them in easy fashion, beating them 3-0 in both legs.
Sunderland were made to work for their place, however, only just squeezing past Coventry City 3-2.
Sheffield are favourites going into the big game, but as always anything can happen once the whistle is blown.
Championship play-off final
As always, the EFL play-off finals will take place at Wembley Stadium at the end of May. The Championship play-off final will come first, coming on Saturday 24th May at 3pm.
2024/25 EFL Play-Offs: League One

League One saw history made this year as Birmingham City totalled a whopping 111 points, the most ever recorded in a 46-game season.
Behind them was a super competitive fight for the automatic promotion place between four sides. In the end, it was the Hollywood story team, Wrexham, who secured their third-consecutive promotion and will be playing in the second level of English football for the first time since 1982.
In the playoffs semi-finals, it proved to be a close affair in both matches as Leyton Orient and Charlton Athletic were only just able to book their spots to Wembley.
Charlton and Wycombe both fought valiantly over both legs, with just one late goal in the second providing the difference.
As for Leyton Orient, they were pushed all the way to penalties by Stockport, who were favourited out of the two before the tie.
League One play-off final
The League One play-off final will come the day after the Championship play-off final, being contested on Sunday 25th May, with kickoff set for 3pm.
2024/25 EFL Play-Offs: League Two

Finally, the fourth tier of English football and third division of the EFL, League Two another competitive campaign.
For those who aren’t aware, League Two differs from the other two divisions in the EFL with how many teams gain promotion at the end of the season. Instead of the standard two automatic promotion spots then one further for winning the play-offs, the top three teams in the table go straight up, then the remaining four teams play for the fourth and final promotion.
This year, the top three teams were Doncaster Rovers, Port Vale and Bradford City, the latter of which securing their promotion on the final day thanks to a 96th minute winner.
Walsall may still feel slightly bitter about Antoni Sarcevic’s last-minute heroics but at least they have a shot at promotion again after they beat Chesterfield 4-1 in the semi-finals.
Their opponent will be AFC Wimbledon, who saw off Notts County despite Notts seemingly having the better of them on the stats sheets.
League Two play-off final
As has been the case for some a couple of years now, the EFL play-off finals are played during the end-of-May bank holiday weekend, which means all three finals can be played over the three-day weekend.
The League Two final is the last of the three, coming on Monday 26th May. Once again, kickoff is slated for 3pm.
