Final trailer for Stranger Things season 3

All eight episodes will arrive on Netflix on 4th July.

Netflix has released the final trailer for the upcoming third season of its hugely popular Stranger Things

Previous clips have highlighted the sunny 80s setting and been quite lighthearted in nature, high-school bully Billy (Dacre Montgomery) flirting with Mike’s (Finn Wolfhard) mum while working as a lifeguard at the community pool for example, this one is much darker.

We hear the terrifying Mindflayer address our gang of teen heroes, promising to destroy everything and everyone they love, as Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown) realises she might have locked the Demogorgan into our world after closing the portal to the Upside Down.

“He wants to attach himself to someone again. A new host.” says Mike as we’re shown a shot of Billy with his eyes ominously darkening.

A serious confrontation at Starcourt Mall is also teased with everyone arming up and later hiding Jurassic Park-style behind a destroyed car as we hear the Mindflayer’s deafening roar.

This final trailer comes just a week before the third season’s official release when all eight episodes will drop simultaneously on 4th July.

Notable 80s stars Cary Elwes and Jake Busey have confirmed they’ll be joining the cast as Hawkins’s sleazy mayor and a local journalist respectively.

Alongside Brown, Wolfhard and Montgomery, Winona Ryder, David Harbour, Gaten Matarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin, Noah Schnapp, Sadie Sink, Natalia Dyer and Charlie Heaten are all set to return.
