BT Broadband packages
With BT, all packages revolve around broadband. This means that if you want BT TV, sport, or anything else, you start with a broadband package.
BT Broadband offers a fantastic service, with some of the best speeds across the nation compared to other providers.
Fibre 2 is BT’s upgrade on their Superfast Fibre 1 broadband, with upload and download speeds doubled with the latest iteration.
Fibre 2 is available to almost all households in the UK. However, some homes can accommodate higher speeds and better connections. For that, BT has packages that offer higher speeds, such as Full Fibre 500, which boasts average speeds of 500 Mbps.
Be sure to check out what is available in your area and then decide which package suits you best.

BT TV Entertainment packages
Along with BT broadband, you can get packages that include BT TV in them too.
BT TV provides you with all the available Freeview channels, such as BBC, ITV, Channel 4, and lots more.
But it’s not just Freeview TV. BT TV adds a library of on-demand and catch-up content, so you can watch a range of shows whenever you like.
With BT TV Entertainment, you will also benefit from a NOW membership, bringing you a range of Sky channels, like Sky One, Sky Atlantic, and Sky Cinema Disney.
Not only that, the NOW membership comes with a Netflix basic plan, meaning you get all content from the streaming service on one device in your household.
And finally, you will now also get a Discovery+ basic plan with the package, which is needed if you want to get and watch sports on TNT Sport.
Check out the Entertainment & Netflix + Fibre 2 deal in the special offers section.
BT Sport packages
BT Sport (now renamed TNT Sport) offers a range of different sports that are exclusive to them, including UFC, WWE, MLB, and MotoGP.
They also have the rights to 52 games of Premier League football this season, as well as all European competition football - that’s Champions League, Europa League, and Europa Conference League, all exclusive to TNT Sport.
So if you don’t want to miss any of that, be sure to check out the TNT Sport package deals available now. You can choose between Sport and VIP Sport, with VIP Sport bringing you everything from the Sport package, only with more HD channels and Sky Sports channels.

Popular information on BT packages
Deals with BT for new customers
BT reserve their best deals for their new customers, offering the most money off and top benefits & inclusions within their deals for customers in their first contract with the provider.
As a new customer, the deals that are offered to you can see you save a lot more money than you even realise. You could be saving around £350 on a BT Superfast Fibre package, or over £150 on TNT Sport during the length of a 24-month contract (prices may change during contract).
You could also benefit from other premium inclusions, such as BT TV Entertainment for free for 12 months, 10% off EE pay monthly mobile plans, or even free installation and activation.
Check out all the package deals available with BT and see what inclusions and benefits you could get with each so you can better decide what works best for you.
What is the BT TV package?
The BT TV package is the easiest way to watch your favourite shows on the best channels without overpaying for the things you don’t need.
With BT, you can add and remove extra add-ons from your package on a monthly basis. If the football season is over and you know you’re not going to be using BT Sport, then you can just swap it out for Entertainment for the off-season and save yourself some money.
The BT TV box is wifi-enabled, allowing for a wireless connection to the hub. This is how you’ll be able to get all the on-demand shows, as well as Netflix, NOW TV, and Discovery+, which is also included.
Are all BT Broadband packages unlimited?
As of February 2020, all broadband packages for every customer, new or existing, now have unlimited usage.
You are still able to track your broadband usage using the My BT app on your phone or via the usage monitor on My BT.
However, there is no need to look for a cheaper deal with a capped amount of data as there is no such thing anymore since all packages are unlimited.
Will BT Sport’s rebrand affect my package?
The BT rebrand to TNT Sport will have no effect on your package other than it now being called the TNT Sport package.
The channels and what is included will all stay the same, only the names will change. All the sports that you loved to watch on BT Sport will still be available.
Are BT and EE the same?
BT and EE joined forces back in 2016, with EE becoming part of the BT Group.
The two companies work together in many ways, in particular on the Hybrid Connect unbreakable wifi, which uses EE’s award-winning mobile network to back up BT broadband, keeping customers online if their broadband signal ever drops.*
BT Mobile also uses EE’s network, providing the best and most reliable network in the country.
This pairs excellently with BT, which has the UK’s most reliable broadband technology with Full Fibre.
*This feature is part of a BT Halo 3+ package or as an add-on with any of BT’s other broadband packages.
