Sky Sports+ launching this August

New service bringing even more live sport next season.

Sky Sports today announced a new service that is set to launch this August named Sky Sports+, and with it comes more sport than ever before.

Sky Sports+, which will be available at no extra cost, is set to bring 50% more live sport including more live games from the EFL, both tennis tours and the men’s Super League.

It will all kick off with the opening weekend of the 2024/25 EFL season, where every game across the three divisions will be shown live. That’s every game from the Championship, League One and League Two, all live.

Sticking with that, the new long-term and landmark partnership between the EFL and Sky Sports will mean that over 1000 games will be shown next season, with each team over the three divisions featuring over 20 times, including at least 24 games each for Championship clubs.

But it’s not just live sports that will be available on Sky Sports+, as customers will be given exclusive access to Sky’s great range of sports documentaries two weeks before anyone else.

Sky Sports+ will also come with new and enhanced features to level up your viewing experience, such as live pause and rewind on all concurrent streams, and the Recap feature that is currently available only for Premier League and Championship games will be available for EFL games now too.

How to get Sky Sports+

Sky Sports+ will be available for free for all customers with a full Sky Sports subscription, and they won’t have to do a thing either to access it.

Sky Sports+ will come as a new dedicated linear channel to be streamed on Sky TV for all Sky GlassSky Stream and Sky Q customers, as well as on NOW and found on the improved Sky Sports App on mobile and other devices.

All this will be available starting in August this year, so be sure to get setup with a Sky Sports subscription now if you haven’t got one already so you can catch all the action from the remainder of this EFL and Premier League season and be in time for Sky’s revolutionary new service.
