Emmy Award winners | The Bear and Succession biggest winners

Last night saw the 75th edition of the prestigious Emmy Awards, honouring the very best of TV over the last 12 months. 

The ceremony itself was moved from September 2023 to January 2024 due to the Hollywood strikes, which led to some confusion, mainly with FX’s The Bear, which was nominated for 13 awards all for its first season despite the second season having been out for seven months already.

There were some great nominees across all categories with fierce competition for each, particularly for the top prizes.

The Bear and Succession were the biggest winners on the night, winning six awards each, including the big prizes for their leading stars.

Unfortunately but also controversially to many, fan-favourite Better Call Saul set an unwanted record with 53 nominations without a win. Those who have watched the Breaking Bad spinoff have for years said it rivals that of its predecessor and are understandably upset at this.
