Lorne Michaels has proven himself the king of producing weekly live sketch comedy, successfully bringing his beloved Saturday Night Live across the pond from the US to the UK.

Season two of SNL UK has reached its halfway point, with episode six of twelve airing this weekend (Saturday 24th October 2026).

As the season's midpoint, this is your last chance to tune in live this year, before the show returns for the second half of Season 2 in January 2027.

This week, stage and screen icon Cynthia Erivo will act as the show’s host, with indie rock band Blossoms performing as the musical act. They will be joining the cast live at 10pm, Saturday 24th October, on Sky One and NOW.

Erivo, recently praised for her performance in the two-part spectacle of Wicked (2024) and Wicked: For Good (2025), has been performing on stage since 2010. Known for her powerful voice and acting range, Erivo will have an opportunity to exercise her comedy skills and utilise her talent for live performance.

Joining her is Stockport-born indie rock band Blossoms, whose most recent album, Songs from the Wedding Cake, peaked at number one on the UK Albums Chart following its release earlier this month.

A vibrant mix of Britpop and indie rock, Blossoms expertly craft a synth-forward sound complemented by catchy melodies.
