What is Sky Ultimate TV add-on?

Sky Ultimate TV brings Netflix to customers for the perfect entertainment deal. It is more commonly known within Sky as simply Sky TV, but what you get with the package remains the same.

Sky Ultimate TV works as an add-on to Sky Essentials, which is the entry Sky TV service only available with Sky Q. Purchasing it will allow more customisation to your package, giving you the ability to add the likes of Sky Sports and Sky Cinema.

With Sky Ultimate TV, you’ll get a Netflix Basic plan, giving customers access to the vast library of film and TV available on Netflix along with the same offerings found on Sky TV.

That’s a great variety of live TV channels including the premium Sky Atlantic and an impressive 10,000 hours of on-demand content (with box sets from the UK and the US along with award-winning Sky originals). 

Sky Ultimate TV also seamlessly integrates Netflix into your Sky Q homepage. You’ll receive recommendations for Netflix shows alongside those from Sky based on your viewing history and be able to resume what you were watching on Netflix without having to open up the app.

Sky Ultimate TV can also be found on Sky Stream and Sky Glass but is known on those two as the basic Sky TV package, Sky Entertainment & Netflix.

It comes with all the same inclusions found with Sky Q only with HD as standard, as opposed to HD being an optional add-on for Sky Q.

The Sky Q box and add-ons

The Sky Q box gives you plenty of space to store your downloads and recordings, up to 500 hours of SD content, and the ability to record up to four shows at once. You’ll get access to all of the most popular catch-up players along with apps like YouTube, Spotify and Disney+.

Sky Ultimate TV can act as the foundation of your Sky subscription allowing you to create your very own tailored viewing experience.

For example, you could add Sky Cinema and instantly gain access to over 1,000 HD films on demand or Sky Sports so you can get closer to the action than ever before. 

What Sky channels can I get with Sky Ultimate TV?

Is Netflix free on Sky Q?

What Netflix subscription plan is included with Sky Ultimate TV?

With Sky Ultimate TV, you’ll get a Netflix Standard with Ads subscription, which gives you the ability to stream Netflix’s large catalogue to two devices in HD.

You have the option to upgrade to either Netflix Standard, which comes with no ads for £10.50 a month, or Netflix Premium, which for £15.50 a month allows you to watch on up to four devices in UHD (ultra-high definition).

If you already have Netflix but want to get Sky Ultimate TV you can keep your existing Netflix account. Just follow the instructions after placing your order and Sky will move it for you and will make sure you’re not billed twice.

How much is Sky Ultimate TV?

Sky Ultimate TV is available at different prices depending on device you’re purchasing.

For Sky Q, it is available as standard for £31 a month.

For Sky Stream, it is available as the Sky Entertainment & Netflix package which is priced at £28 a month on an 18-month contract or £31 a month on a 31-day rolling contract and with no upfront fee.

For Sky Glass, it is again available as the Sky Entertainment & Netflix package, so is priced the same as with Sky Stream; however, payment for the Sky Glass TV is also required. Be sure to check out the Sky Glass page for more pricing information.
